What does that mean in concrete terms? We only use post-consumer recycled, transparent PET bottles for the production of the thread. Transparent bottles are ideal because they guarantee the highest ecological standards with the usual Mettler quality. The spool is made from 100 % recycled polystyrene.
And as good things are used frequently and with pleasure, make sure you get the Oeko-Tex® certified thread in a practical set! The "SCY8-KIT" version contains 8 standard colors with 200 m / 220 yds each - perfect for realizing a wide variety of projects.
The sewing thread masters a wide variety of fabrics and stitches: whether cotton, synthetics, mixed fabrics, linen or silk - there are no limits to what you can do. This is partly due to its core thread construction, which makes the sewing thread optimally abrasion-resistant, stretchable, tearproof and wonderfully supple. Of course, the thread is iron-proof, colorfast and does not shrink. For this reason, it is not only suitable for regular men's, women's and children's clothing.
