LESS IS MORE – USE OF RESOURCES AND PRODUCTION PROCESSES
For many years, AMANN has placed the most stringent demands on the ecological profile of its manufacturing. The focus on investments has been on the dyeing technology in particular. Here, the consumption of fresh water was reduced by 40% over the last few years.However, the other savings are also significant:
- Reduction of waste waster: more than 30%
- Reduction in the use of dyeing agents: approximately 20%
- Reduction in the dyeing shop agents: approximately 30%
- Reduction in the use of primary energy: approximately 40%
- Recycling of the dyeing shells: 100 %
- Complete foregoing of solvents
At its largest production site, AMANN also sets a very special ecological sign: 27% of electricity requirements are acquired here from the company's own hydro plant – a corresponding quantity of fossil fuels is saved. Overall, AMANN was able to reduce the overall consumption of primary energy in the most important production sites by around 20% over the last 6 years. The use of gas also resulted in a substantial increase in the degree of effectiveness of the boilers from 65% to 90% and a substantial reduction in emissions. This is one reason why AMANN has already been certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001 for outstanding environmental management for many years.
